Why did you decide to join GE?

Both of my parents worked at GE, and I was lucky enough to intern the summer before my senior year of college. After those short few months, I knew that I had to work amongst top caliber people. GE people are sharp, talented and driven. I wanted to be held to their standard.

What are you working on?

I am working for our Government Relations team in Washington DC. The military (Department of Defense) is one of our most important customers. During a time of fiscal restraint, we become even more cognizant of our value proposition. The message has to be around cost, reliability, efficiency and safety.

What has been most rewarding about your GE experience?

My first tour of our shop floor in Evendale, Ohio. I knew we made world-class jet engines. But to witness first-hand the unbridled pride our machinists have for this product was inspiring.
