Why did you decide to join GE?

Something that set GE apart from other employers for me was how the Company values its leadership programs and invests in the growth of young employees. I worked as an intern with the corporate communications team throughout my senior year at Syracuse University and was introduced to the hard-working GE culture and challenging high-visibility projects. From the internship experience, I knew that the Communications Leadership Development Program (CLDP) would be the right next step for me after graduation.

What are you working on?

Currently, I'm working on the corporate external relations team, responsible for protecting and enhancing the GE brand. This rotation, I have been working on communications for healthymagination, GE's initiative to bring better health to more people, and Developing Healthâ„¢, a GE Foundation grant program that aims to increase access to primary care for underserved populations in targeted communities. I am also currently helping to produce the 2011 Annual Report.

What has been most rewarding about your GE experience?

I've had the opportunity to learn from some of the smartest and best communicators in the industry. They have taken the time to help me grow, but have trusted me to own and execute projects as well. It is so rewarding to look back and see how much I have been able to experience in the past few months.
