Entry-Level Program: Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP), Middle East
OMLP is an intensive program designed to accelerate the development of entry-level talent and produce leaders capable of meeting the challenges facing the operations function at GE. OMLP is a two-year program that allows members to build leadership and functional skills through challenging rotational assignments and world-class training. Through these job assignments and training, program members are involved in GE's strategic initiatives, including GE's drive for LEAN Six Sigma.
Program Summary
OMLP is a two-year entry-level program consisting of a combination of rigorous technical training and at least three rotational assignments. The program provides technical training in contemporary manufacturing, global supply chain management, APICS, lean six sigma and environmental health and safety. Rotational assignments may include: shop operations, process engineering, lean manufacturing, global supply chain management, materials management, and environmental health and safety. These assignments offer challenging experience in project management, team leading, negotiation, and manufacturing finance. The program provides valuable experience through mentoring, teamwork, ongoing reviews, and defined deliverables.

The program provides participants with opportunities to make a measurable impact on GE. The program provides participants with visibility to senior level technical and business leaders, while fostering personal development through mentoring and coaching. The typical rotation into three different assignments in just two years provides valuable contacts and experience that accelerate the development of technical, business and professional skills.

- Degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering and Chemical Engineering degrees are preferred
- GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 in major
- Understanding of business strategy and concepts
- Analytical approach to problem solving
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Intern, prior research or co-op experience in engineering or manufacturing
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Rotation locations vary, thus candidate must be geographically mobile
- Strong commitment to a career in operations management
