Information technology (IT) is critical to the future of GE. With nearly 10,000 IT professionals in roughly 50 countries, GE IT represents a major area of focus and investment across the company and is essential to maintaining our leadership, competitiveness and success. As a key pipeline for future leaders of GE’s world-class global IT organization, the Information Technology Leadership Programme delivers continued education with over 12 weeks of technical (e.g. Java Programming, DBA, data warehousing, business intelligence, et al), project management (waterfall and Scrum), and leadership training over the two years. The job assignments and training are designed to enable participants to use their information technology experience to drive some of GE’s strategic business initiatives. Each assignment and training experience is global, providing the potential for international travel, working with colleagues from around the world, and make an impact on products and services that make the world better.

Candidate Criteria

- Minimum 2:1 honours degree in computer science or information systems is preferred - additional technical subjects or a business degree with an IT focus may be applicable
- Passion and aptitude for technology
- Solid technical and analytical skills, coupled with sharp business acumen
- Relevant work experience, prior internships and extra-curricular responsibilities
- Leadership
- Geographic mobility
