GE Volunteers GE businesses and their employees connect with thousands of local community projects each year. Employees contribute to the community either as GE Elfun Volunteers or through charitable support for local and national campaigns in the form of donations, collections or individual sponsorship.
GE Volunteers in the Benelux GE Volunteers is a global organisation of 53,000 employees and retirees committed to improving communities through volunteerism. About 31 chapters and some 3,400 people are active in Europe and carry out volunteer projects that aim to make a sustainable difference in their local communities. The Benelux chapters of GE Elfun currently have over 240 members dedicating almost 5,000 hours to community projects throughout the year. More information on our projects can be found here.

Country Executive, Benelux and Growth Leader Green Ports
Roland Teixeira was named Country Executive, Benelux and Growth Leader Green Ports in June 2011. In this role, he is responsible for leading GE’s regional strategy “Growth By Co-Generation” aimed at bringing together partners, stakeholders, and GE businesses, to solve key challenges.
Responsible for GE’s Rotterdam Sustainable City project, Roland Teixeira has been developing GE’s impact in the port/city environment, growing “Thought Leadership”, launching pilot projects and GE’s Green Ports Center of Excellence.
Headquartered in Brussels, GE has had a presence in the Benelux for over 50 years and has ensured its growth through numerous investments in the materials, security, water, energy and financial services sectors. Today, GE has 3,000 colleagues working for its Luxembourg, Belgian and Dutch clients.
