[[Narrator] To save energy and money, the Hungarian Ministry of Education]
[is keen to upgrade the lighting systems in all of the educational institutes in the country.]
[General Electric co-operates with the ministry to equip classrooms]
[with more efficient lighting systems.]
[Over 1,400 schools have already been retrofitted]
[and a further 1,500 are registered for future upgrades.]
[Budapest schools could already cut their electricity lighting bills by 40%,]
[thanks to the program, and across the country, ]
[it has saved 100 Gigawatt hours of energy so far, ]
[the equivalent of the annual power consumption of a city with 50,000 inhabitants.]
[And, the best thing is, no public money is required.]
[The project is entirely paid from the energy savings which it generates.]
