[You know, I think we're witnessing a transformation of a region.]
[The Middle East is investing heavily in their infrastructure.]
[I think you're going to have a very modern region.]
[I'm the region executive for GE Energy in the Middle East, based in Dubai.]
[When you have a region that's growing double digit every year,]
[and the demand for power and water is there, ]
[having a combined independent water/power plant]
[such as the one that we're doing in Saudi Arabia, ]
[you're bringing GE's technology into people's homes, ]
[into businesses, into industrial areas, powering the region.]
[I think there's a couple things to keep in mind ]
[when you're thinking about GE's presence in the region.]
[We've been here present since the '30s.]
[GE Energy's been active here since the '60s.]
[An example of that--we've been working with ]
[companies like Saudi Electric Company for the last 40 years.]
[A strong partner--we've been helping them ]
[put their power generation capacity for the entire kingdom.]
[Innovation to me means really bringing solutions to our customers;]
[really bringing it in a way that they didn't really see it clearly on a piece of paper, ]
[so it's a wow. You're able to bring a new solution to them to help them meet their needs.]
