[the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, China.]
[This is the largest event in World Expo history.]
[There are more than 190 countries represented here, ]
[plus 50 international organizations and corporations.]
[Over the 6 months that the Expo will be open, there will be an estimated]
[You know--GE's got a long history of participation in Expos, starting in 1876,]
[when Thomas Edison brought his telegraph to the World Expo in Philadelphia,]
[and then he, in following World Expos, he brought other inventions, ]
[such as a power generator, lightbulbs, the gramophone, ]
[and 134 years later, the spirit of GE innovation now extends to Shanghai, China.]
[You know--I'm standing right now in front of the USA pavilion here at the Expo.]
[GE is one of five founding partners of the USA pavilion.]
[Inside we showcase on an interactive digital screen]
[GE's renewable energy Smart Grid, green locomotives, eco-friendly aircraft engines.]
[It's really great. It's really fun to play with.]
[We're also highlighting our Healthymagination technology in a visible you booth.]
[This is a digital glance inside your body's nerves, muscles, and cardiovascular system,]
[and really illustrates GE's Healthymagination solutions.]
[So I'm really excited as we bring GE to this significant global platform.]
[The Expo's slogan is "Better city, better life," and that fits GE's strategy perfectly.]
[Our technologies will help make the environment cleaner]
[and bring sustainable solutions to cities and create better and healthier lives ]
[for millions of people around the world.]
