[This is a tough environment for industries all over the world.]

[I think they're facing challenges ]

[that they've never had to face before. ]

[We've just come off the worst recession]

[the world has seen in recent years,]

[and it forced everybody to rethink]

[their operations, rethink efficiency, productivity,]

[and how to maximize the most out of their assets. ]

[Also, customers are dealing with how to grow their business]

[in a volatile environment.]

[The recovery is not as typical recession recoveries have been.]

[It's more volatile. It's mixed--different geographic regions have different profiles. ]

[And people are concerned every day as to ]

[whether or not we are going to take a step back. ]

[People are having to deal with degrading qualities of feedstocks,]

[whether it be crude oil, water, minerals--]

[the availability of high-quality feedstocks has diminished greatly, ]

[so people are having to generate even higher outputs]

[at lower cost with tougher raw materials,]

[which seems like an almost-impossible task.]

[So I think it's incumbent upon us to help our customers]

[find solutions to these challenges. ]

[And knowledge management is at the core of the solution as to how to deal with]

[a lot of the challenges our industrial customers are facing. ]

[Operating managers today use information about their business processes]

[and their assets to make sure they're performing to standard, ]

[to find ways to optimize performance, and--you know--it's coming from ]

[disparate systems, it's coming from manual logs, but if you can take]

[that information and consolidate it into one package, one look, one view]

[and find the critical links between the right elements of operating data that really]

[identify interconnection from one process to another and the process dependencies, ]

[you can then use that information to really optimize the cost construct of your business, ]

[the productivity of your operating processes, and really look to]

[optimize the consumption of resources within your process. ]

[Our True-Sense Platform was designed for this environment.]

[It was built specifically to help improve the cost performance of our treatment programs]

[and our service programs. It's designed to help customers operate more]

[efficiently using municipal re-use water or high-TDS waters.]

[It's the right blend of chemistry, multi-parameter monitoring,]

[and information management that generates a better performance, ]

[lower cost, increased asset reliability,]

[and enables our customers to reduce the consumption of water]

[and the consumption of energy in their process. ]

[And I think it's incumbent upon us to continue to invest in our molecular]

[and our automation technologies, to continue to drive lower or better cost performance]

[for our customers, and to help our customers find ]

[the best solution for their business challenges. ]
