[[GE Hourly Workers Help Design New Refrigeration Facility in Louisville, KY]]
[[Debbie Patton, AP5 - Team Leader] Right now the team leader--we're setting up the jobs, ]
[getting them ready to come down to the floor for production, ]
[working with the operators, making things better for them.]
[Working with the engineers, taking our problems to them for assistance,]
[training in standard work, which is basically doing it the same way every time]
[so that we send a quality product out the door, which is a very high priority for me. ]
[I really want to see quality out this door. ]
[[Chris and Patrick Devine, AP5 - Brazing] Training's been great. ]
[I mean, I came in not knowing a single thing about the brazing.]
[You know, how important it was. ]
[And the brazing of the sealed systems--I mean--it's a major component of the refrigerator. ]
[It's got to be airtight, no leakage, no nothing, and I'm glad to be a part of it. ]
[and I support team leaders in making sure that Kaizen is being followed,]
[which means continuous improvement. ]
[We look for things that you used to do that you can improve upon. ]
[What we're doing now is we're kind of pulling together all departments]
[[Mariah Tipton - APS, Team Leader] It's kind of empowering, I mean, the way things are set up,]
[and we set up the workstations the best way we can for ergonomics]
[and if something's not right, if it's not ergo, we have to change it.]
[We have to make sure it's not off. It has to be a certain height.]
[It can't be too low; it can't be too high.]
[You can't have to reach too far.]
[I like it. I like all the cool things that they've added to it.]
[We take great pride in our work here and I think that's going to improve tremendously also.]
[I don't think you're going to get a better refrigerator anywhere else.]
