[Why do you think Lord Mandelson was so keen to come here today?]

[>> I think it's a fantastic opportunity for the site to bring Lord Mandelson here]

[to GE Wales, and allow him to see the work that we've been doing]

[with the Wales Assembly government and the Wales office,]

[and continue to strengthen that relationship going forward.]

[>> Obviously, Nantgarw has a long history, ]

[but you've got some very exciting things going on at the moment as well, haven't you?]

[>> Yes we have. We now are fully capable for the GE 90115B.]

[We are the only engine overhaul facility in the world]

[that has both full detail overhaul capability and test capability.]

[We're here in the test cell that has the capability for running the engine, ]

[which is 150,000 pounds of thrust.]

[In bringing investment into South Wales, this test cell gives us a competitive advantage,]

[and without a doubt, now bringing the 115B, as I mentioned before, ]

[and the GP7000 to our more recent addition and capability list,]

[this test cell has given us the opportunity to do so.]

[>> Lord Mandelson has also been meeting some of your apprentices,]

[and that's really, really important in terms of insuring you keep your skills base here]

[at Nantgarw, isn't it?]

[>> Yes, absolutely. We're very proud of our apprenticeships' team.]

[We bring between 15 and 20 apprentices into the program each year.]

[We have today on our leadership team a number of people who are a product ]

[of the apprentices' team that has been running long term.]

[I want him to recognize this is a success story here in South Wales,]

[where GE has engaged with the Welsh Assembly government and the Welsh office]

[very successfully, and as a result, we've got a high technology business being successful]

[in Nantgarw. >> Thanks.]
