[can be said to be one of the highest in the country.]
[The country as a whole has had problems with infant mortalities.]
[Getting even the required personnel to accept posting to this rural setting]
[I'm the health service administrator for the Asesewa Government Hospital.]
[The GE donations have had various impacts on service delivery]
[They helped so much in terms of equipment.]
[We have the baby warmers, we have the incubators,]
[the session facilities available.]
[There was one baby who was on that machine for over a month,]
[and it was a joy seeing this baby gaining weight]
[day after day and day after day.]
[And if I tell of the village from which they came [chuckles],]
[you just realize that if we had given that baby to them to go home with,]
[that baby would not have survived over a week.]
[I've always been a role model to children and especially young girls in the community.]
[And that gives me so much strength. I feel so happy.]
[Other people may be coming in to help, and I really do appreciate ]
[But if we, the indigenous people, apply our talents wherever we find ourselves,]
[whether as a matron, as a midwife, as a doctor, as an administrator, whoever--]
[if we use our talents to help our people, I feel Ghana will develop better.]
[It's a country that I see so much potential in.]
[The people of Ghana are very warm people, and that motivates and that moves me on.]
[I get encouraged by them, I get energized by them,]
