[My name is Latash Bowser. I am with GE healthcare.]
[I am the LCT Operation Manager for Northern California for services.]
[The Remote Area Medical is a non-profit organization that provides free healthcare,]
[basically a clinic, and they go around the world.]
[This week they decided to stay in L.A.--it's a 9-day event--and GE realized]
[that this is right along with one of our key initiatives, ]
[which is to improve healthcare access.]
[Over here at the floor of the forum, ]
[and you can see this is RAM L.A.'s working medical clinic.]
[As we gaze over, folks are getting cavities pulled, and we've got patients lined up,]
[folks waiting to get glasses grinded and made.]
[You can see RAM's medical trucks,]
[and folks eagerly waiting to see a doctor, dentist, ophthalmologist.]
[Today what we've done was donated a GE ultrasound Logic 9 machine, ]
[which is providing scanning and triage for patients.]
[It's almost 1:00 p.m. There's 6 more hours left,]
[hundreds of patients still anxiously awaiting for their turn ]
[to get their free medical, dental, and vision care.]
[I'm able to witness the true need of healthcare access,]
[is seeing the number of individuals that really just don't have the basic care,]
[so this was great for me personally, to be able to see the impact in my own city.]
