[The waiting process is very difficult. ]
[I mean, that was probably one of the hardest parts. ]
[My physician called me. I was at work, and I called back. ]
[I was out working on the line, and I got a phone call from my doctor, ]
[and he said that they found cancer in my breast.]
[I was just shocked. I just--I couldn't believe she was really telling me that. ]
[It's a pretty big shock, you know, cancer. ]
[I've always heard cancer is the big C-word. It's so scary. ]
[My mother told me that when she was diagnosed with breast cancer]
[she cried one time, and that was it. ]
[And she said, "You be strong." She said, "Don't you be crying."]
[I just saw it as a signal, one of those big rocks in the stream,]
[you know, that takes your life another direction. ]
