[At Molded Fiberglass Companies, we have]

[about 2000 teammates.]

[We're located in 15 or 16 different locations throughout North America.]

[[Duane Engle-MFG Aberdeen Manufacturing Manager]]

[This plant's been here since 2008,]

[and it was built specifically to make windblades.]

[ [industrial machinery sounds]]

[Currently, we have about 1% of the energy]

[in the U.S. that utilizes wind. ]

[That is trying to be developed]

[so that we have 20% of our energy]

[comes from wind by the year 2030.]

[The most popular wind turbine in America]

[[Voice of: Dennis Daugaard-South Dakota Lieutenant Governor]]

[is the 1.5 GE turbine, and these are the blades that drive it.]

[So as GE succeeds, MFG succeeds]

[and Aberdeen and South Dakota succeed.]

[Wind is a great alternative. ]

[It's a renewable resource,]

[and so it's something that all of us can use.]

[It's an inexpensive way for us to become energy independent. ]

[[Dave Giovannini-MFG Aberdeen Plant Manager] Moving into a ]

[green energy field I think is vital]

[to not only the country but to the world.]

[It's jobs--pure and simple--it's jobs.]

[[Seth Dunn-GE Energy] Really, it's about manufacturing and economic development]

[and Aberdeen is a perfect example of that.]

[[Dennis Daugaard-South Dakota Lieutenant Governor] Right now]

[South Dakota is a net energy exporter.]

[We generate more power in South Dakota than we use.]

[I am signing this gigantic blade that is going to help power]

[our Nation, and I am really proud of Aberdeen to get this going here.]

[I believe that wind energy really is the future.]

[I think it's great--great for Aberdeen, ]

[great for GE, great for wind energy.]

[First time I've been up to it, ]

[and it's amazing how large they are when you see them out in the field.]

[Rotating they look small, ]

[and you get up to those things, and you go]

[holy smokes, it's pretty significant.]

[[Chris Lewis-Wind Blade Truck Driver] Hi! It's day one of our 30-day journey.]

[We're just getting ready to pull out, ]

[and we're going to head to our next stop]

[which should be somewhere in southern South Dakota for the evening, ]

[and I'm looking forward to getting this event underway.]
