[It was a tough decision trying to decide]

[between CPG and GE, but]

[you learn so much about GE in business school, about]

[the Jack Welch years, you do business cases on it, ]

[and it's just one of the most highly regarded companies in the world, really. ]

[To have that type of opportunity ]

[to grow and develop your career there]

[was just very difficult to turn down. ]

[My most meaningful one, both from a business perspective ]

[and from a personal perspective, was the one I did in Prague, Czech Republic. ]

[I had the opportunity to work with five different countries, ]

[and worked on sales force effectiveness, ]

[so I got to be close to the customer and work with the sales people]

[understanding what motivates them, what drives them, ]

[which is essentially usually compensation, right. ]

[But I worked with them to better structure it the right way so]

[we got the most out of our sales teams across five countries.]

[Every time we have a training we get to]

[hear from these amazing leaders all across ]

[the company and world. ]

[They come talk to us about their experiences.]

[They give us advice about how to succeed in our careers and at GE. ]

[And that has been extremely helpful, to learn]

[from them and just hear them talk.]

[They tell us about their career paths and ]

[everybody's got a different way about how they got to ]

[where they are and it helps us to ]

[better position ourselves and plan out our career going forward. ]

[I don't think we ever would have that opportunity if it wasn't for]

[ECLP organizing those types of events for us]

[and having these great speakers come in and talk to us. ]

[It's a friendly culture, but a culture that's going to keep you]

[honest and]

[keep you motivated to perform.]

[So it's--if you make commitments to the]

[organization, they're going to hold you to them. ]

[Obviously I knew it was going to be a pretty big program, but]

[I didn't expect to create such good friendships and such a great]

[network that I can call upon at any time to ]

[help me out, both in my career and even personally. ]

[I mean, that's been the biggest surprise ]

[and a great surprise and I think one of greatest ]

[strengths of the ECLP program. ]

[It's really made me understand and learn]

[how to change and adapt to life in general. ]

[And that's a theme]

[in life no matter where you are, whether you're working at GE or ]

[whether you're working somewhere else or whether you]

[take that concept to your own personal life. ]

[You're always going to have change in life and ]

[you're not going to be able to plan everything out.]

[ECLP has taught me to, when a change]

[happens, to understand it and]

[make the most of it. ]
