[It really depends on what you make out of it.]
[I mean, the program is essentially a feeder ]
[program into the main ECLP full-time program, ]
[which is a 2-year rotation program. ]
[But an internship basically gives you a sampling of what the ]
[full-time program--ECLP program is all about.]
[It's also a way for you to know what GE culture is all about.]
[It gives you a direct path to actually impact the]
[company and current ongoing projects. ]
[It's fantastic and its got really great networking opportunities]
[with current people at GE, alumni of the program, ]
[as well as to figure out if GE is the right]
[place for you and if you're the right person for GE.]
[In the 4 weeks that I have been in the program so far,]
[I found out that it's very open-ended. ]
[You're given a problem, a real-time problem statement, and ]
[your pretty much said go fix it or go solve it. ]
[You have to identify, you have to define the scope,]
[you have to put a structure around what it is all about. ]
[And what's been fantastic is the resource you have throughout the company. ]
[I mean, I had to find some resources]
[to do market research and I just reached out]
[ECLPs at GE who I just met through my ]
[interviews and networking opportunities, and I ]
[asked them for help and I got all the resources I needed. ]
[So, the opportunity is there for the taking.]
[It is very important for me that I make an impact on the world, and ]
[that's part of the reason why I'm here at GE, because I really believe that GE]
[is changing the world and I wanted to be a part of it, which is why I chose this program. ]
[GE impacts the world in every single way. ]
[I mean, the solutions that GE makes today, especially with ]
[solving real-world problems in the right way--]
[leaving a really small footprint on our earth. ]
[What I believe that I can learn, what I am experiencing]
[right now here with the ECPL program,]
[is you're given a problem statement]
[You figure out, you reach out to the right people, you motivate. ]
[And a lot of times our projects--most of the times our projects are]
[We touch multiple businesses.]
[We touch multiple products, multiple people, ]
[multiple stakeholders, so influencing people. ]
[What I'm learning here through actual project experience is how to influence people, ]
[how to get people's buy-in, how to balance different]
[priorities across different businesses]
[and collectively bring something to fruition, make it happen.]
