[Hi, my name is Andey Berry. ]

[I'm a recruiting program manager for energy infrastructure]

[and technology infrastructure at GE. ]

[Prior to joining GE I was a company]

[commander in the U.S. Army. ]

[One of the things that got me out of bed at 4 AM in the Army was ]

[feeling good about what I did, and I feel the same at GE. ]

[I feel like the products that we make, make the world better.]

[If I wanted to explore different career opportunities in different ]

[businesses I'd be able to, but still be working at the same company. ]

[So I could go from energy to aviation to ]

[oil and gas to NBC. ]

[I'm the Director of Military Spare Parts at GE Aviation.]

[When I was in the military I was an aircraft maintenance officer. ]

[I had wonderful mentors in the military that helped me grow]

[and seek a good career path and I find the same]

[quality of mentors at GE helping us make the transition. ]

[They provide wonderful training opportunities to make sure that you]

[understand the basics of business.]

[to retirees from an officer to unlisted,]

[What's J.O.L.P.? J.O.L.P.? J.O.L.P.? J.O.L.P.?]

[J.O.L.P.? [J.O.L.P.] J.O.L.P. stands for Junior Officer Leadership Program.]

[It's a 2-year rotational program at GE, where you do]

[three 8-month rotations across a variety of business functions and business locations. ]

[It's a great introduction for former military officers into the business world.]

[I've had a lot of great opportunities through J.O.L.P. ]

[which I would not have had otherwise. ]

[My favorite thing about working for GE are GE people. ]

[They're very much like the people I left]

[in the military and the State Department--]

[high integrity, high energy, and want to get the mission accomplished. ]

[So whether you've been in the military for 5 years or 10 years, GE has ]

[great opportunities for military veterans. ]
