[When I graduated I had]

[some other offers, but I was really looking at a company that ]

[would give me the chance to be in a global business]

[where I could interact with ]

[customers, with suppliers, and ]

[all around the world. ]

[I love the business where GE plays. ]

[I love the big aerospace business.]

[I love the transportation. ]

[I love the big multimillion dollar equipment that we sell, ]

[not to small customers, but to big ]

[government entities and institutions]

[that go everywhere around the world. ]

[The ECLP network is of great value]

[and will be of great value throughout all my career. ]

[Usually there--we keep in touch ]

[with the other ECLPs, and there's always]

[people you are closer ]

[to than others, but those are]

[business relationships that eventually ]

[will turn into personal relationships, ]

[and they will be long-lasting]

[relationships throughout all your career. ]

[I'm a different person than I was before.]

[I know much more about our markets, ]

[about our customers, about our company.]

[But, on the other hand, I will also know ]

[that there is more things--]

[there are a lot of more things that I'm going to learn]

[in my career. ]

[The biggest lesson I've learned at GE is that]

[learning never ends.]

[There's always things to discover. ]

[There's always things that we]

[believe we know, but then]

[they turn out to be different. ]

[When you go around the world and you are talking]

[to customers and you are ]

[ talking to governments and they know about]

[what GE has done around the world, what products]

[we have brought to the market, that makes you proud of]

[what company you work for. ]

[It also gives you a response--some degree of responsibility.]

[You've got to act, wherever you go and ]

[whoever you talk to, whichever constituency]

[you interact with, you've got to ]

[bring those values]

[and translate those values into the interactions. ]

[The ECLP is an important program]

[because it gives you ]

[the skillset]

[required, at this point in our career,]

[to enter a business and to make an impact]

[to our business]

[from day one.]

[Having been in very short rotations]

[lasting for 6 months in which we had to deliver]

[in a very short time frame, that has taught us]

[how to learn, ]

[but also how to ]

[understand the market very quickly, or at least]

[quicker--more quickly than others would do, ]

[and be successful. ]
