[I'm a human resources manager in Saltillo, Mexico.]
[I started GE as part of the Human Resources Leadership Program.]
[I track, develop and engage people to ensure that we have the right talent]
[for every job position for the company.]
[I'm coming in at 8 in the morning.]
[I start the day talking with a lot of people, doing interviews, ]
[coaching sessions with my managers, training sessions, leading projects.]
[My favorite part of my job is working with people--nothing better than that.]

[I'm the production manager for GE Manufacturing and Services in Monterrey.]
[I've been with GE since 2000.]
[In this plant we repair traction motors.]
[I'm responsible for all the output; not only the number, ]
[it's also that we did it with quality and also safety.]
[[Laura] The Lean Challenge is a tremendous program that]
[we started in Mexico three years ago.]
[The main objective of this program is to have the opportunity to the senior students]
[to apply and learn lean manufacturing in GE.]
[It's amazing--you know--it's how my values and GE values are very similar.]
[Really, the safety of our people is always going to be a priority,]
