| Introduction
APAF’s primary mission is to help attract and hire employees of Asian- Pacific origin for GE Businesses, create the infrastructure and processes to help APAF members develop their leadership capabilities to meet their career aspirations and help in the retention of Asian- Pacific talent.
The key focus of this initiative are :
- Encourage APAF members to refer high potential Asian- Pacific talent to GE Businesses. In the first quarter of 2007, a web-enabled process will be established to make this easier.
- Mentoring :
APAF has a very active mentoring program with over 40 formal mentor – mentee relationships , supported by tools and tracking mechanisms. This is in addition to informal mentoring , based on networks APAF members develop through attending National Summit and other APAF events.
- Active members of various APAF organizations like National Steering Committee and Hubs provide significant opportunities to demonstrate their leadership skills with visibility to senior GE Leadership.
