Mr. Rogers serves as Vice Chairman of the Board and Executive Officer of General Electric Company.

He began his career with GE in 1966 as a member of the Financial Management Program. He joined the Corporate Audit Staff in 1969, advancing to Manager of Program and Staff Administration in 1976.

In 1977, Mr. Rogers was appointed Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis of the Lamp Components Operation at GE Lighting in Cleveland, Ohio. He became General Manager of Lamp Glass and Components Department in 1980, and General Manager of General Purpose Control Department in 1981.

Mr. Rogers was named Vice-President and General Manager of the Lamp Products Division and elected a Vice President of General Electric in 1982. In 1986, he moved from GE Lighting when he was named President and CEO of GE Electrical Distribution and Control in Plainville, Connecticut, and promoted to Senior Vice-President of General Electric Company.

In 1990, Mr. Rogers was named President and CEO of GE Appliances in Louisville, Kentucky. In January 1992, he was named President and CEO at GE Plastics, headquartered in Pittsfield, Mass.

He holds a bachelors degree in Marketing from Florida State University.
