Beth Comstock leads GE’s growth and innovation initiatives, including three company-wide platforms: GE Ventures, which partners entrepreneurs with GE capabilities and investments, and ecomagination and healthymagination, which harness innovation for better environmental and health outcomes. As Chief Marketing Officer, she also leads all sales, marketing and communications functions. Previously, Beth served as President of Integrated Media at NBC Universal, and has also held roles at CBS and Turner Broadcasting. Beth is a member of Nike’s Board of Directors and Trustee president of the Smithsonian’s Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.

Mark Little is the SVP & Director of GE Global Research, and also a member of the GE Ventures Growth Board. In his role, he is responsible for leading one of the world’s largest and most diversified industrial research and technology organizations. He has spent 30+ years with GE, and in 2005, became the ninth director in GE Global Research’s 105 year history.

Sue Siegel

Sue Siegel is a GE Corporate Officer and the CEO of healthymagination, GE’s $6 billion global commitment to provide better health for more people by lowering costs and increasing access. For GE Ventures, she oversees the healthcare investing team led by Rafael Torres. Sue is a 25-year industry leader with corporate and venture capital experience in growing companies that bring key enabling technologies to the forefront of biomedical research and healthcare. Prior to joining GE, she was a General Partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures. Sue has been featured in the bestselling business book: Multipliers: How The Best Leaders Make Everyone Smarter and was recognized as one of “The 100 Most Influential Women in Silicon Valley.”

Matt Zakrzewski

Matt Zakrzewski is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of GE Ventures. Matt has almost 20 years of experience in GE in a number of CFO, planning and controllership roles. The first 11 years of career was spent in the financial services at GE Capital, with the last 8+ years at GE Corporate. Prior to joining GE, Matt worked for several years at IBM and began his career in public accounting at what is now KPMG.

Colleen Calhoun
Senior Executive Director, Energy Ventures
Colleen Calhoun is Senior Executive Director of Energy Ventures at GE and leader of energy investing, focusing on investing in and scaling start-up energy businesses inside and outside of GE. She works closely with GE’s Global Research Center, Power & Water, Oil & Gas, Energy Management and Transportation businesses to help to drive a GE point of view for strategy, venture investment and scaling with start-ups in spaces ranging from energy storage to solar.

Michael Idelchik
VP of Advanced Technologies at GE Research
Michael Idelchik is leader of the technical collaboration teams within GE Ventures, and Vice President of Advanced Technologies for GE Global Research, the centralized R&D organization of GE. In his role, Michael oversees the company’s longest-range technology endeavors and innovation processes. He started with GE in 1978, progressing through various engineering and management roles within the Aircraft Engines, Healthcare and Lighting divisions. In 2002, Michael founded GE’s first integrated technology center in China and served as Managing Director. Michael has received many distinguished awards and honors during his career, including the Chairman’s Award for Technology Leadership presented by GE Chairman and CEO, Jeff Immelt.

Brett May
Head of Ventures and Business Development, GE Software
Brett May leads the investments and acquisitions team for GE Software. Prior to joining GE, he was Managing Director of business development for Cisco Services. Previously, Brett was Chief Operating Officer at MoodLogic (acquired by AMG) and was an engagement manager with McKinsey & Company in Palo Alto. He started his career as a software engineer with Andersen Consulting's advanced systems group in Austin. Brett is also a former professional musician who has performed with a number of Grammy-winning artists.

Rafael Torres
Senior Managing Director, Healthcare, GE Ventures
Rafael Torres is the Senior Managing Director and GE Ventures, Healthcare leader, where he leads the VC team for Healthcare investments. Previously, he led GE Equity Healthcare investments and acquisitions and integrations at GE Healthcare, where he had been a key driving force behind the healthcare investing since its inception. Rafael has spent 11 years investing in healthcare in GE across the healthcare space, and prior to joining GE in 2001, held various positions at The Boston Consulting Group, AT Investments (a Latin American venture capital fund) and Citibank.

Ricardo Angel
Managing Director, Energy Ventures
Ricardo Angel is a Managing Director at Energy Ventures where he leads origination for the business unit and for Energy Technology Ventures, a joint venture formed by GE, NRG Energy and ConocoPhillips focused on investing in emerging energy technology companies. GE Energy Ventures and Energy Technology Ventures seek investment opportunities across the energy value chain, including renewables, power infrastructure and oil & gas technologies.
Mr. Angel joined GE from ChevronTexaco Technology Ventures' Venture Capital group. Previous experience includes investment banking at Goldman Sachs and consulting at CNA Corporation. Mr. Angel holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School and Bachelors as well as Masters and Doctorate degrees in Engineering from the University of Illinois. He is based in San Francisco.

Noah Lewis

Healthcare Venture Operating Practice
Noah Lewis is a Managing Director and the Operating Leader at GE Ventures, Healthcare. In addition to investing, Lewis leads the venture operating practice that partners with start-up management teams to help scale their businesses and facilitate strategic partnerships with GE Healthcare and GE Research. Prior to entering venture capital, Lewis led strategic planning for the $10B GE Healthcare Systems division. Noah has focused his career on growing companies in revenue-driven operating roles including strategic marketing, product development and sales. Lewis started his career at International Business Machines. He received an M.B.A. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management and a B.S. in business and economics from Skidmore College.

Mark Wight
Managing Director Collaboration, GE Corporate
Based in Schenectady, NY, at the Power & Water headquarters, Mr. Wight has been in the energy generation business for over 14 years in positions ranging from commercial finance, M&A and most recently marketing and strategy. Before joining the Power & Water business, Mr. Wight worked for GE Plastics in finance and operations.
Mr. Wight holds an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Masters in Environmental Engineering from SUNY Buffalo and a BS from Clarkson University.

Lisa Coca
Managing Director, Commercial Development & Operations, GE Corporate
Lisa leads commercial development and operations for GE Ventures. In this role, she is responsible for sourcing new partners and developing new programs across the investment practices, consistent with GE Ventures' mission to become the global partner of choice to accelerate and commercialize innovative ideas. She also oversees operations for the group.
Prior to joining GE Ventures, Lisa was managing director and head of GE Real Estate Global Sustainability Program, an energy efficiency program with a goal of reducing the environmental footprint across $80B of commercial real estate globally. Lisa's career has also spanned a number of other disciplines in commercial real estate including strategy, business development, sales & marketing and financial analyst at major financial institutions such as Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank.
Lisa graduated cum laude from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Economics and received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Alex de Winter
Director, Healthcare Investment
Alex de Winter is a director at GE Ventures, Healthcare. Prior to GE, Alex was a partner at Mohr Davidow Ventures. At Mohr Davidow, Alex was a board director at On-Q-ity, as well as a board observer for CardioDx, Corventis, Crescendo Bioscience, didimi, DVS Sciences, and Personalis. He started his career as a research scientist with 454 Life Sciences and Pacific Biosciences. Alex has an MBA from UC Berkeley, a Ph.D. in chemistry from Stanford, and graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College.

Xavière Michelot
Director, Commercial Development & Operations, GE Corporate
Xavière works on the development and execution of commercial programs to source new partners as well as promote collaboration initiatives with existing portfolio companies. She also supports the development of operating tools and best practices to maximize the productivity of GE Ventures.
Prior to joining GE Ventures, Xavière specialized in healthcare management and management consulting, both in Europe and in the US, working at the Boston Consulting Group, the French Ministry of Health, for one of the largest European healthcare providers networks as well as for the United Nations in New York.
Xavière holds four MScs from top European schools, in Management from HEC-School of Management, in Political Science from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po), in International & European Law, and in Health Economics.
